Parkway was founded in 1983, by Gerald Parkes and his wife Denise. The business has always been fiercely independent, seeking to show the widest range of films and events in a genuinely welcoming environment.
We have grown to be one of the most successful independent cinema companies in the country, with cinemas in Cleethorpes, Louth, Barnsley, Beverley and Workington.
Gerald Parkes was proud to receive an MBE for services to the UK cinema industry in 2013. He sadly passed away shortly afterwards, but the business goes from strength to strength with Denise, sons Gerrard & Richard and all of our awesome staff.
