Class Act: Jack - A Nightmare in Whitechapel

Last shown on 7 July 2023

A macabre fascination still exists today after 135 years surrounding the events in the Whitechapel district of the East End of London in 1888 and the gruesome murders and mutilations performed by Jack the Ripper. Poor unfortunate women risked their lives as they walked the streets for money to pay the meagre 4 pence needed for a room for the night. Playwright, David Wrightam researched tirelessly to bring this gripping story to the stage many years ago and now it is being exhumed onto the Parkway stage for two nights only and it promises to be a bloodthirsty affair. As the bodies pile up and the evidence is pawed over, the story comes to a shocking conclusion. A spectacular set with full cinema screen projections, special effects, music, lighting and sound combined, promise to make this a g-ripping evening to remember so book your tickets if you dare!
