Class Act presents Jessie's Tree by Bev Clark and an amateur production by arrangement with Stagescripts Ltd.

In 1916 this majestic oak tree was struck by lightning and it died. When Jessie's brother Jack was killed at the Somme, she made it her personal place to remember him. The war is over; it's 1918 and Jessie meets Cecil for the first time. He is mourning his father, also killed in the Great War. This is the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Jessie's Tree is a play in four acts, set in 1918, 1940, 1967 and 1999 and each is a charming and often amusing story in its own right but all have a common thread; Jessie.

Childhood is at the heart of this wonderful play; the emotional journeys, the love, the loss and the experiences along the way. It's a story of friendship and love; of family and what binds us all together.

Each play will be enhanced by the music of each distinctive era and two separate casts comprising Youth and Senior Theatre will collaborate in two performances lasting approximately 50-60 minutes.
