Class Act: Tickler's Angels

Last shown on 13 October 2024

TICKLER’S ANGELS by Andy Evans
Live on stage for one night only! the world premiere of Tickler's Angels - a story inspired by the real Ticklers jam factory established in Grimsby in 1878 to make jams and marmalade that went on to achieve international fame as the exclusive supplier of jam to the British Army during the Boer War and the Great War. Interspersed with music hall songs of the era sung live, this play is set in 1915 and promises to be a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

We have been inundated with approaches from local people who know someone who worked there and have many happy memories to share. This newly commissioned play made possible by funding obtained from Humber Gateway will be performed by Class Act Productions; well known locally for performing mainly premiere productions of new plays written locally for local people.

Local author Andy Evans has crafted a delightful play that will make you smile and unlike some of our other adult shows, will definitely not offend anyone! Using Parkway's 4k cinema screen to enhance the experience, Class Act adults are delighted to bring a little bit of our local history to the stage.
